David Tobin is quickly developing a reputation as one of Ireland’s rising stars in classical music. He made his debut as a soloist with orchestra when he was only 10 years old and had already performed in the Auditorium of the National Concert Hall by the age of 11.
He has given numerous recitals in the John Field Room, National Concert Hall, which have all been sold-out, as well as in various festivals and venues across Ireland. He is also the most successful string player ever at the Feis Ceoil, Ireland’s premier national competitions.
He is building himself a reputation internationally as well having performed with the Sinfonieorchester Aachen in 2014, this coming after he had already performed as a soloist in Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Spain and Switzerland and had won prizes at international competitions in Estonia and Romania.
He is adamant that classical music should be brought to a wider audience and is keen to achieve this in the coming years.
